Office Update! By Dr. Bobby Porter on September 29, 2020

Dr. Charlie Porter and I (Dr. Bobby Porter) wanted to use this aspect of our office website to help keep patients informed about different topics in dentistry and office changes as we navigate beyond the COVID pandemic. The language of these posts will be more casual and conversational. I want these posts to help serve as an opportunity to get to know us better, and learn how the field of dentistry is adapting to best take care of you. I've never written a blog before, so this one may not fit the bill of what you're expecting. Please bear with me. I'd love feedback or ideas that you would like to read about. If you have any suggestions, reach out to us at smile@charlottedentalcare.com and put "Blog" in the subject line. I would love to hear from you! So, if you've made it this far, I will take it as a huge success and welcome you to continue with me.

So... who's this new guy? I'm Dr. Charlie Porter's son. I joined Porter Dental Group in June, and I'm so excited to meet all the patients that have been seeing my dad for many years during the 28 he's been in practice. I've always considered Charlotte home, and now I have the privilege to set roots here with my wife, Emily, and our daughter, Charlotte. I'm excited to explore the city and see how much has changed since my childhood. Family is so important to me, and I now have the privilege to live closer to my extended family. As I continue to meet patients and provide dental care, I know my sense of family is going to continue to grow.

I know there has been a lot of justified fear and uncertainty in the world in nearly all facets of life due to the pandemic. I know many people have found themselves more isolated, so I want to use this medium to help reach you and encourage you. I want you to be safe and healthy. Our team is taking every precaution to ensure this space is safe for your dental care. If it has been a while since your last cleaning or if you have any concerns about your teeth or gums, please don't hesitate to give us a call. We are here for you.
